disgraceful place

Well, I find it Ironic that Hotels.com send me an email for a review of a hotel I did not even stay in! I had booked 3 nights through hotels.com for Saigon Phong Nha Hotel. When I arrived there was no one at the property to even check me in. I looked around everywhere for someone. The front of the building has a restaurant/function room and all the lights were left on. I could walk anywhere I wanted in the hotel and not a single staff member to be seen. The reception desk unattended. The amount of trash outside the hotel makes it look like a dump. I had to, after trying for over an hour to find someone! Go and look for another hotel. I immediately book the 3 nights with said hotel because I was disgusted with not only the fact that the hotel didn’t check us in but the state of the place and lack of security. My booking is now over two weeks old and everyday I contact hotels.com for my refund and all they keep telling me is they cannot get through. The hotel is refusing to pay back My money it would seem according to Hotels.com, however I visited the hotel the next day to raise the issue and spoke to the man on reception and the owner when he could not understand me. The manager said I would be refunded and I had to contact Hotels.com for them to process the refund. Avoid staying here. If you can’t check in to your room what’s the point in booking?

Good buffet breakfast, quiet air con, good bathroom. The only complaint is that we made special request - "if no elevator could we have a 2nd floor room" There is no elevator and we were given a room on the top floor. The hofel was nearly empty and we are old and find it difficult to climb stairs.

Hummm!!

It served it purpose. The aircon didn’t work well so they said we could take any room, but after we unpacked we simply stayed. Desk was often unmanned. Beautiful location. It’s hard for me to say bad things about this hotel. When I came in from a trek at 8pm with nasty clothes they were able to get them cleaned by 6am the next morning for my travels.

A clean hotel which seemed one of the best in the area! Bed was comfortable, however the breakfast wasn’t so good. The receptionist helped us with laundry too.
