I was in town for Moms weekend and the room and location was perfect, we could easily walk to Kirkwood and campus. We stayed across the street from the check-in, in a nice cozy room with a large king size bed and a small sofa, it felt so homey. The air conditioning was not working when we got there, but they fixed it right away. The door lock to get in was a challenge sometimes and would take me a few tries, but I got it to work. The fitness center in the basement and the rocking chairs were a nice bonus. Really enjoyed the dining and breakfast area, very quaint.

We usually stay at the hotels near Kirkwood when we are in Bloomington. Fortunately, that didn’t work out on this trip and we were forced to find somewhere else to stay. The Grant Street Inn is great for many reasons. The room was very spacious and the bed was as comfortable as any hotel. The proximity to our favorites like the Runcible Spoon, the Comedy Attic and shopping along Kirkwood is only a few blocks away. The included breakfast each morning and the fresh cookies every afternoon were also nice touches. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and conversational in the best way. And the price speaks for itself. We will definitely stay here again.
