“Overall, our stay was okay, but I would not rank it above the Drake or the Royal. We paid for a cot, and while it was set up when we arrived, we were disgusted to find that it consisted of a thin mattress placed directly on the floor beside the patio where there was a significant number of bugs. “Shawn met us when we first arrived and gave us tips of where to go and what to see. It was really nice to hear his story of building his boutique hotel and his inspiration for doing so. Our room was very well appointed and clean. The morning breakfast was a nice touch. Very quiet as the hotel is in the country. We stayed only one night but would not hesitate to return.”

“It was the perfect location for our little getaway. Room was great, direct access to West Lake, pool on-site, great food at the restaurant, simple check in and check out. We were even able to rent a boat close by without driving.”
