The Chateau is full of character and history, and also someone’s home. We were made very welcome on arrival and the highlight was the delicious fine dining meal which was lovingly cooked and described by Irina. The inclusive breakfast was also welcome.

Night in a Chateau Exceeds Expectations

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay in a 1000 year old castle with a Roman villa foundation and a charming hostess. Irina made our stay memorable with an outstanding dinner, a delicious breakfast, and an informative tour of this historic hidden gem! A must stay!

Gorgeous property where we were treated like special guests - and old friends at the same time. Say YES to dinner if you are lucky enough to be offered. A wonderful gem near Bourges

What a perfect stay! Lovely room, warm and welcoming hostess and delicious breakfast. My husband is still racing about the scrambled eggs he enjoyed. The owners take great pride in the chĂąteau and are very knowledgeable about the history thereof. We were offered breakfast in our room or the common area. We did not eat dinner there( long day of driving and too tired to enjoy a lovely meal). Comfortable and well appointed room with a lovely bathroom and robes. I would highly recommend ChĂąteau Blet if passing through the area. We will definitely make a booking here the next time we do this long drive!

A truly delightful stay

Where to begin? The chateau is wonderful and our room was huge, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The owner, Irina, is charming and goes the extra mile to ensure guests have a memorable stay - she even gave us a tour of the castle. We booked dinner, which was delicious and competitively priced. Breakfast, too, was extremely nice. The entrance into the grounds s a bit difficult to find because there is no sign, but the chateau itself is difficult to miss!

Spectacular Chateau Made Even Better by the Hosts

Where does one even begin? To stay in a thousand year old (and that's a guess-it could be and probably is older) chateau in a lovely little town about a half hour southeast of Bourges, in the French countryside is the stuff of dreams. It's a step into history with all the modern conveniences one could want--spacious rooms with stunning vistas, a comfortable bed and a killer bathroom (in a turret!), grand to wander, gardens to enjoy, so much to explore. AND the hosts are absolutely the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. Irina is a chef extraordinaire and it you're lucky, you'll get to enjoy some of her work. There is nothing to change at Chateau de Blet...unless you can figure out a way to stop time and stay a little longer....10+ out of 10!

This was a rare opportunity for us to stay in a Chateau! There were only 3 rooms and we had all three, so were the only guests. Beautifully appointed with period furniture, the chatelaine Irina was a gracious hostess. Breakfast was amazing and delicious, and included a chocolate flan that she had made herself. Nos quedamos dos noches 1) no repusieron toallas, ni limpiaron la habitaciĂłn durante toda la estadĂ­a. 2) No repusieron el poco papel higiĂ©nico que habĂ­an dejado 3) no habĂ­a en la habitaciĂłn telĂ©fono ni minibar,heladera ni aire acondicionado 4) previo al check out, no dispusimos de agua caliente, por lo que no pudimos ducharnos 5) no habĂ­a papel tissue, ni jabĂłn de mano 6) La habitaciĂłn no se podĂ­a cerrar con seguridad, ya que no tenĂ­a ni cerradura ni pestillo, por lo que la puerta no ofrecĂ­a ninguna protecciĂłn. 7) No se dispuso de señal Wi Fi 8) La griferĂ­a era muy mala y sin ningĂșn tipo de mantenimiento 9) la cama supuestamente queen era muy pequeña y con un colchĂłn muy incĂłmodo 10) El parque muy descuidado con muchos años sin siquiera cortar el pasto 11) llegamos muy tarde por la noche.
