A brilliant stay. Friendly staff, room was exactly what we needed and they accommodated an early check in due to attending a funeral. Thank you so much
Poor room - smelt damp. Rust on radiator in room and bin and toilet brush holder in bathroom and chipped dressing table. Room was dusty in places. Needs a refurb.
Comfortable nights sleep at this really nice pub, food is great and staff are friendly.

Decent pub accommodation - quiet & clean
Perfectly decent pub accommodation, in a separate building set back from the pub which is ideal in case is worried about noise. Fairly basic facilities (note no toiletries are provided) but a nice touch having a small fridge with free bottled water and proper milk for tea/coffee!
We had a nice stop over one night only but everything was excellent staff were friendly and helpful room was lovely clean would recommend to everyone food great no problem’s
Great place to stay, rooms have everything you need, shower was powerfull and hot, food in the pub was top class, breakfast was ok, cooked breakfasts are my choice but the continental supplied was far more than i could eat, 5 stars 🌟
The location is ideal. next to the rail station and walking distance to many restaurants. Service is very good and staff are friendly. The only minor issue is the wifi connection isn't so good.
The staff were very good, always cheerful and ready and willing to help, answering any questions I asked.
All-in-all a very comfortable and enjoyable 2-night stay.
Well done all concerned.
The rooms were very clean and set up for tea/coffee making with fresh milk in the fridge. Brilliant hair dryer in the room too and powerful shower in the bathroom which was spotless.
The staff gave us a very warm welcome.
We dined in the pub which has an extensive menu choice including a small appetites menu.
The food was excellent, very well presented and tasty. Would highly recommend dining here.

only a continental breakfast available not very visible on booking site
My sister and I found our stay very comfortable.Slept well.Tray with cookies coffee and hot chocolate was more than welcome as we arrived cold and wet.
Had a nice meal in the Charlton pub staff were welcoming and friendly. This is my third stay here and would recommend.
Comfortable quiet room. Appreciated milk and water left in fridge. Also allowed a later checkout on request. Disappointed that the inn was closed at 6 on Sunday night and they don't offer breakfast. However we were there for a funeral so location was excellent.

Excellent food, hot, good choice and reasonably priced. No option to choose breakfast however there is a list in the room detailing menus and prices for nearby establishments who offer breakfast. We opted to visit a large Tesco store less than 5 mins drive away. Pub was closed when we departed and unsure how we could check out therefore simply left the key in the door. Room was a good size and clean. Brita kettle, small table top style fridge and crisp white bed linen and towels. All in all a good stay however exterior very tired and in need of painting.
As a solo traveler I found my stay (two nights) very enjoyable. The room was clean and spacious for a single room. There were all the amenities, fridge, kettle, towels, parking spaces etc. I felt secure even though my room was apart from the main building. I invited my friend to join me for a meal in the restaurant and we both found it to be excellent. The only issue was breakfast wasn’t served but that hasn’t deterred me from recommending the Charlton Inn to my well travelled daughter.
As soon as we arrived the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, and welcoming. Our room was ready and perfect. It’s a continental breakfast, but we were spoiled for choice. The facilities in the room were great.
Beds were very comfortable, great nights sleep and the bathroom was great.
We also had dinner at the Inn and it is one of the friendliest places with fantastic value for money on the food and wonderful ales.
Thanks to all
If low cost is your primary driver then this could
The accommodation is at a separate block at the rear of the pub. Whilst you can eat your evening meal in the pub there is no option for breakfast (though there maybe an in-room continental option). Room was in poor condition with windows fixings broken and light over shower not working. Fixtures and fittings were very worn and cleanliness was poor. Food in the pub was reasonable.
Great location with really good food, it’s a lovely pub with helpful staff.
But I’ll be honest, the rooms walls were peeling away from the wall, bed wasn’t great which gave me a bad back. Also, the light outside the only window was on all night which kept me up most the night couldn’t tell if it was night or day
But over priced for what it is and for the time of year. But I get it as times are hard at the moment with rates going up.
