Place was clean and stayed nice and warm throughout the cold night. In a great location with lots of great views. We did a 6 mile hike about 15 minutes north at Maryland Mountain and then we used the showers and watched the sunset such a beautiful view before heading into town for some gambling!

We had a wonderful stay at The Nest in Black Hawk. The dome itself is beautifully designed, brand new, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Waking up to breathtaking mountain views right from the bed was an unforgettable experience. The property is pet-friendly, which made traveling with our dogs easy and stress-free. We also appreciated the reliable phone service, strong Wi-Fi, and smart TV for relaxing in the evenings. If you're looking for a unique Colorado getaway with incredible scenery, modern amenities, and a peaceful atmosphere, The Nest is a fantastic choice. We would happily stay here again.

The rooms itself were cool. However, they should be for younger folk. The 2nd bed had STEEP stairs to get up to the loft. 2 of my family members are physically unable to climb vertical stairs, so I ended up going up. Scary to get down! Need to have a way that the steps are able to pull out. Because of the 4th of July affected their supplies of food, they hardly had anything to eat. It also wasn't ready at 4pm. It was 5:30 before they got done cleaning. Trash wasn't emptied from prior guest either. Cool place, needs tweaking .

Check in time was at 1600 finally got into Dome at 1915 they had a fire ban which wasn't listed on site so no cooking or fire pit... Ac unit began leaking the first night was right above bed got breakfast for free but they didn't open till 130 at which time we were heading to get something to eat elsewhere... Not enough staff for the units and it was a Wednesday... Trouble setting outside of dome need to take another look at the plastic which impeded the view... 4 out of 10...

The rooms are wonderful & the staff was great however, Bring your own breakfast. Frozen, vegan burritos for $12 that you can get from king Soopers for $1.99 or the “Croissant Collection” was actually frozen hockey pucks smaller than the palm of my hand (I am only 5 ft tall) they didn’t even have the frittatas. Sold as a “ “Luxury Resort”, I had a “suite”, asked for the celebration package, someone called me, told me they were to busy but could probably have balloons in the room. No balloons. If you want an actual meal, I would suggest bringing a Colman grill, if possible & your own food. A drink at the bar consists of a child’s size glass of whatever you want & if you would like a normal size drink like you would get at normal a bar, you will have to ask for and pay for a double. Make sure you pay attention to your account for a few days after your stay. $10.98 was debited from my account for Tampax tampons (Not that time of the month for me) which I never asked for or received. I was told they would “Review the cameras & let me know if I get refunded for it”. “Luxury Resort”, not it. Glamping experience, it kind of was. The people that work the place are super sweet and honest. We had a lady that played the accordion sang beautifully. The domes are super clean and a fun area for sleeping. Don’t book off of Expedia though. What should have been a stay for $613.19 ended up costing me $376.08 more. Should have booked through the Nest website.

We really liked it there. Peaceful, quiet and gorgeous view from our dome. Some staff, although all were nice, were not up to par on their jobs, but it is a new resort and they have some things to work on. We would go again in a heartbeat.

Our room was very clean and had a great view. However the wifi never worked and when it did it was very spotty. They have a sign in the bathroom that hot water for shower is limited to around 7 minutes which is VERY accurate. We didnt see that and were upset that we had to rush to shower and wait for it to recharge before the next person could shower.

The views were stunning. We had the mountain view side of the dome, sunrise through sunset were breathtaking. The room was super clean. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Spent my 2nd year anniversary there. The staff were super friendly. We got complimentary drinks for the delay of getting our room setup. Only a 3-5 minute drive to the casinos. We enjoyed our stay. Pillows are terrible and I hated the mattress. It’s an old spring style that moves around when your partner moves. The shower supplies were empty and there weren’t any tissues in the room. The temp was comfortable and the view was pretty. Overall, we had a great time.
