Nice place for the price.

We had no problems with cleanliness,a few additions would make a stay better,a little lamp, another chair if you want to eat at the table rather than the high stool in our room.Better flooring in the bathroom would improve things, possibly a fan for warmer temperatures.

Friendly staff comfy clean bed just wish there was a restaurant on site. Had to go to a local pub but will be better prepared next visit to use in room facilities. Didn't know about reported ghosts they left us well alone 😁

Particularly liked the Peaky Blinders themed bar. Unique to the Black Country. Love that it is walking distance to the Zoo and the Black Country Museum.

Like sleeping on a wooden bed at a train station

Rock hard bed and the noise from the station kept me awake. Couldn’t turn the heating off. Horrendous sleep.

Not for the faint hearted its clean which is good as for rooms not my cup of tea i didn't like the bedsit look having sink cooker in room etc just looked like a hostel type room but the 2 staff j did see on separate occasions were friendly and polite so a thanks to them

Good value and only a short walk into town and bus stops. Comfortable bed and good to have kitchen facilities in the room. Staff were helpful with late night noisy guest. Walls are thin though so you hear water noise, folks moving about, current construction noise, traffic noise and frequent emergency service sirens. Hence average rating.

Good stopover hotel

The hotel has good staff who are welcoming and parking is plentiful and free. It has a Peaky Blinders restaurant. The room was clean and had a kitchenette with fridge which was useful. It was a bit noisy due to construction work in the street outside.

The Station Hotel and Banqueting is a grand hotel brought functionally up-to-date. It offers affordable accommodation in clean, comfortable rooms (my en-suite came complete with a kitchenette). There is a Peaky Blinders Themed restaurant bar on site serving local ales and locally-sourced meals (and a proper breakfast). There is also excellent free wi-fi and registered parking. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating.

On the second visit. Where the room is located sometimes will be next to the roads, as you long you mentioned to the staff they might move to another room. Apart from that I am happy staying. And love to upgrade to one of the double rooms. Working the night shift just need a decent sleep.

I have been staying in the Station Hotel for 4-5 weeks. And it is Close to Dudley town centre. 15-20min bus travel to Dudley & Sandwell Station. At least a 5-minute walk to the bus stop near Salisbury to catch the Number 87 bus back to the Station Hotel. Also, I complained about my room, and the receptionists arranged another room to sleep in. I appreciate it. Well done 8/10

Traffic works out side at the moment working through the night - even with out that the road noise kept me awake all night The bar is run separate to the hotel breakfast I gues could be arranged after 8am separately

The check in staff were friendly. The room was fine and I liked the kitchenette. There are roadworks right outside the hotel which meant it was tricky to find a way in, but those aren't the hotel's fault and they won't last for ever. The gym was a pleasant surprise but the elliptical trainer was not working - I had to manhandle it to a power point and steal a power cable from a rowing machine. There were three issues. First, C there was a function that went on into the early hours of the morning. The noise kept me awake for a while. Second, when I finished at the gym I went into reception at 8.45 to see where breakfast was. They said nobody was down yet to make it! At 8.45! Guess that was the function again. Then when I got back to my room there was no water coming out of the shower. No light on the shower controls. Had to wash in the tiny sink. Would have been good value otherwise.

Ok if you don’t expect too much

Overall ok At check in i was given my room key (1st floor)only to discover it was actually a family room, I went to inform reception and was handed the correct room key(2nd floor )told to remove my luggage, lock the family room and return the key. IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE yet I had to go up and down between 2 floors with my luggage surely one of the 3 members of staff congregated at reception could have at least come with me so after I removed my luggage from the family room they could return the key to reception 😖 Upon entering the 2nd floor room I found a plastic tooth pic and various bits of rubbish on the floor and a mark in the bathroom sink.It was clear the room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly but by now I was not about to go all the way back to reception to complain so cleaned the sink myself ( left the toothpick and rubbish where they were) Leaving the hotel later no one was manning reception so I could not complain Upon returning later I completely forgot( been to party lol ) Next morning after I complained about the tooth pic I was informed it must have fallen off the cleaners trolley as they use them to clean 🤔. I could see there was no point mentioning the sink and unvaccumed carpet,especially as there were two other people at the reception desk who clearly were listening to my conversation . It’s a shame really because it is a lovely hotel, fab location, friendly staff but twice I’ve stayed here and twice now not found everything up to standard.

Just what we needed. We were a family group visiting The Black Country Museum/Dudley Zoo and the location was great..just 10 min walk. Free parking and friendly staff/easy check in. Its not a luxury hotel (seemed to be a mix of worker's and tourists) but it was clean, and beds were comfy, water pressure in showers good. We had the suite which comes with 5 double rooms, two bathrooms and a living/kitchen area. Perfect for us...already looking to come back nearer Xmas. :)
