Just as good as 5 yrs ago!

Great to stay here again after 5 yrs! Still v comfortable and convenient on the edge of Birmingham. Good car park, good buses into centre, and a great breakfast. We’ll be back.

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING HERE!

I started to write a long review and then gave up. Needless to say, we won't be coming back due to a number of reasons. From exceptionally poor management to bra pads lying about in reception, to being asked to leave as they'd allocated us the wrong room, this place is awful.

The staff at The Great Barr Hotel were all so friendly, helpful and efficient. We stayed for a visit to Crufts and could not have been made more welcome with our 2 dogs. The hotel is very clean and well appointed and we were given a nice room (a suite in fact) which had a very comfy bed and good bathroom/shower facilities. Would recommend to anyone and may visit again one day.

All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Very nice atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable. The food at breakfast was really nice. The bar meal in the evening was pretty poor so I’d advise not eating there in the evening but everything else was very good.

Only reviewing a single room, which were on the second floor in the corner of the property. Reasonable for the price. Noisy bathroom extractors were clearly left on by someone in the room next so needed ear plugs to sleep and you could still hear it then. Nice check in area.

The staff were very courteous and helpful and provided a good fan to help me getting sleep without feeling too warm. The setting for the hotel is in a residential area and I didn't have to go too far to find a lovely riverside walk next to the Tam. My room was quite spacious and I liked the vanity mirror set up in the bathroom. Breakfast was a lovely dining experience to get the day off to the right start. I would certainly look to book here again
