Clean and comfortable which is all you need from a budget hotel. Staff friendly but could do with a few extra on at busy times. Decent breakfast for extra charge. We chose it because it is very convenient for New St Station and shops (10 minutes) the city centre (about 20 minutes) the Bull Ring (5 minutes) and less than two minutes walk from the Hippodrome Theatre. Lots of restaurants close by (mostly Chinese style as it is situated in China Town.) Not many pubs in the immediate area (Wetherspoons and one more) but the hotel does have a pool table and a small bar.

Yeah the bull ring and grand central was 5 minute walk from the hotel. Didn’t visit the bar as we don’t drink. The rooms were clean, comfy and quiet no noise from the outside at all. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The location of this hotel is very convenient, especially for travelers with an early morning flight. The self-check-in and self-check-out process was straightforward, and the staff member we met was very friendly, polite, and helpful. However, the biggest issue during our stay was the lack of air conditioning. We stayed during a very warm period, and the room became extremely hot and uncomfortable. As the building appears to be older, the ventilation was not very effective. Even with the window open, there was little airflow, making it difficult to cool the room down. Unfortunately, the heat made it almost impossible to sleep. We managed only about an hour of sleep before having to wake up and head to the airport. While the convenient location is a definite advantage, better cooling and ventilation would greatly improve the guest experience, especially during warmer weather.

I was very happy with this hotel. From checking in to leaving. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, tea and coffee provided too. We used the hotel to leave our bags as our room wasn’t ready on arrival. We used the bar a couple of times and it had plenty of choice. Breakfast was really good. It was plentiful, had good choices and was being filled up constantly. We had a late check out and were able to store our cases while we headed into the Bullring which was nearby, to do some shopping before we got the train home. A great experience and would recommend.
