“Property has been upgraded downstairs and the restaurant and bar area are lovely as is the outside courtyard. When you go upstairs it’s apparent that an upgrade is still required. Our room - 3 - overlooked a very busy main road and the secondary double glazing did nothing to keep the constant traffic noise at bay. There are two windows in that’s room. “The room was very basic (family room for 6 people) but we made do as we were only staying for 2 nights for a family wedding in the area. As soon as we arrived the host came to meet us outside in the car park before we’d even got to the pub door, which seemed a little rushed as she showed us straight to our room. She said she had tried to contact me about half an hour prior to arrival asking what time we’d be checking in, but as I was driving, I obviously did not get the message until we had...

“This is a great venue if you wish to be off grid lifestyle. For us it didn’t quite meet our needs as our dog couldn’t manage the staircase & although we thought we had a shower and separate bathroom we only had a bath. Hot water is at a premium here we found & lacking in water pressure. But truly a great venue if you wish to unplug, & chill. One recommendation I would make, to help dogs relax. Is to the make the gardens private with privacy screens. The dog next door was barky & uneasy...
