Comfortable room, nice location. Bistro live music is loud, but stopped at 11 and wasn't too bad on the 3rd floor. Pay attention to the exit instructions for when the bistro is closed so you can get out in the morning.

Inn was in a beautiful older home and very close to the beach. The food in the downstairs bistro was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone wishing something different than a typical hotel stay.

We were in visiting from the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, just a little one-night getaway for us. Conveniently located right near the aquarium, which we had visited before checking-in. The Almanette is absolutely Wonderful!!! Delicious food, fantastic service all around, clean room. Everything was great! So happy to have found this place. Our bathroom provided all the necessities, including facial wipes, which I appreciated, since I forgot mine. The ONLY thing I felt it was missing was a mini-fridge in our room, that would have been really useful for us to keep leftover meals and a few cold drinks in. There is a microwave in the common area, which was great, I got a plate from downstairs and used it to heat up my bread pudding. 🤗 We stayed in the Loretta. 3rd floor, away from most of the noise. Everything you really need; clean & comfortable. Small balcony was nice to step out onto. Appreciate the wood floors (cleaner than hotel/model carpet). Nice bathroom.

I loved this place. The rooms are unique and the staff was very friendly. Comfortable and quiet for a great night's sleep. It also has a restaurant, but we didn't have a chance to eat there with our schedule. I would recommend this hotel.

This was such a cute boutique hotel. The decor was so unique. Our room was specious and comfortable. Our balcony gave us a view of the beach. We spent last night in New Orleans, so we were SO happy to get to Gulf Port and find a nice clean town and a spotlessly clean hotel. The gentleman who checked us in was fantastic. He gave us a tour of the property and made sure we were all settled in. On a 10 scale, I give The Almanett a 12!!!

Loved the ocean view from our balcony and room. The owner, Michael, checked us in early, gave us a brief history of the property, and showed us around. Michael was very personable and friendly. We stayed on a day when the bistro was closed so we missed out on that experience. Only problem was not being able to turn the door deadbolt with our key--and it was too late to have the owner come out.

If you’re looking for a change from a chain hotel, this place is a gem. It has just a few rooms and lots of shared spaces for reading, playing games, watching TV, etc. Our room was very comfortable. The downstairs bistro seemed popular - unfortunately we didn’t schedule our activities well enough to hit them during operating hours. There are also attractive outdoor spaces. The owners are accessible, and very friendly and responsive. We enjoyed learning the history of the building and family. We were sorry to leave! I’m not sure the atmosphere would be right for small children, but for two adults it was perfect.

The hotel was completely empty when we came. We had to call for somebody to come and let us in. The hotel is not handicap friendly you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the first floor Lobby. Again there is no room service unless you call and have someone come take care of something that needs to be done. The restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesdays the two days we were there. We ended up being the only people staying , big old house totally empty except for us. Our room was nice our bed was good the view was okay out the balcony. The balcony is a walkout balcony only you could not sit out there. The young lady that helped us was very friendly and did what she could to make our stay as good as possible. If you want to stay at this location please call the hotel directly and ask your questions so that you know up front what you are purchasing. I'm afraid we would not recommend this hotel and will not stay there again.

The room was superb, the staff was phenomenal the beach view was great. I would advise anyone DON’T book on a Monday through Tuesday cause you’re pretty much on your own. This was a birthday trip for me and I had my mind set on the lamb chops and the karaoke. I’ll advise anyone if you’re interested try to get the room SANDY
