This property has a lot of pros. - close to park entrance, very clean, friendly manager, good breakfast, good AC and very cheap. The cons are that the room doors face the highway and the rooms are small. Good base for a night or two.
Excellent location, wonderful service and very clean. Delicious included breakfast overlooking a volcano backdrop. Incredible value for price. Booked based on location and proximity to Rio Celeste waterfall. Easily walkable to entrance of national park for Rio Celeste hike. Highly recommend for anyone looking to hike Rio Celeste Waterfall.
Breakfast dining overlooks the back yard garden. Other guests said we missed seeing Toucans by a couple of minutes. When we returned from a morning excursion, the hosts saw us and pointed out another that had recently come.
The hotel is the best choice for exploring the PN Volcan Tenório! It’s 8 to 10min to reach the park, so you can walk there from the hotel.
The reception from the hosts were great, providing all necessary information to explore the area. The breakfast was the best we had in Costa Rica. The room was super comfortable and with all we needed to rest.
They even helped us with our rental car contacting the car company for us with their phone, explaining the problem (battery dead) and providing the location details for the repair.
Super recommend this place in Costa Rica!
What a beautiful place and the owners were so friendly! Strongly suggest confirming your arrival time in advance, that was buried in the fine print on the Orbitz reservation.
Very friendly and helpful staff. They only speak Spanish but we were easily able to communicate using google translate. She was very kind and helped us find a place to eat dinner. The rooms are very clean!
Very friendly owner of the place. She didn't speak English, but we were able to communicate nevertheless. Breakfast was good. On the day of check out we had to leave very early, she was so kind to cut us some fruits for take out the night before.
The hotel is very close to the entrance of the national park.
No AC but it stayed cool with the fan. It was luke warm water but it worked. The breakfast was amazing and this was located near everything we wanted to see wish we'd stayed here more. The view was breath taking. Small room but we were off hiking and doing tours all day so we didnt need a large room.
We only stayed one night to go to Rio Celeste Waterfall. It is walking distance 8 min from the Cabinas. We didn't have to pay for parking!! Marjory was very helpful when asked what else can we do in the area. We emailed back and forth before our trip. Marjory set us up with Henry as a night tour. We saw a Tapir!!! Not too many people get to see a Tapir in its natural surroundings. I would highly recommend to stay here while visiting the Rio Celeste and then go on the night tour with Henry. Marjory can help with that. While on our hike to the waterfall, Marjory even did our laundry. So thankful!!! We saw a toucan in their backyard and humming birds.

Beautiful little hotel right near Rio Celeste. The owners were very nice and welcoming and my friend and I felt very safe.
The room was perfect and at a good price. The owners are very friendly and they went out of their way to accommodate my restrictive plant-based diet for breakfast. Highly recommend this little hotel. Vincent, Ottawa, 🇨🇦
Lovely hosts! It’s almost like staying with family. The rooms are clean and well kept with nice ambience. The lack of air conditioning is the one downside. The hosts went above and beyond to make a wonderful stay!
A basic, clean property near the Rio Celeste park. The owners do not speak English but are very helpful if you have limited Spanish. The included breakfast is delicious and generous.

The owners were so so nice!! All of the rooms were clean, and breakfast was awesome. Great communication, great people. I forgot my bathing suit there and they were sweet enough to send it back to me! 10/10 recommend!
The guy running the place is super nice. He does not speak English but used google translate. Breakfast was delicious and really close to the national park and waterfall. Went out of his way to make sure we were good. Was shocked at the low cost of the stay for what it was.
