I really liked this place. Clean, comfortable cabin with a fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, plate, etc). Very friendly staff. Great location near Boulder Bay Park.

Great Place for a Vacation!

I really enjoyed staying at this property. It was comfortable, they provided everything I needed, and when I had an issue with the stove, they immediately came and fixed it. The pool was lovely, the grounds were clean and there was ample outdoor space for me to walk my dogs away from other clients staying there. It was close to the lake, close to shops and restaurants and a very nice place all around!

Great place to stay and can even take your dog!

It was a cute rustic cabin, and it was so clean. When we got there we enjoyed all the amenities that were provided they gave us coffee to making the coffee maker, which is a sweet surprise. For my preference the beds were a little bit on the southside but I know some people like softer beds than I do. The owners are really sweet and very helpful. All in all was a great place to stay. And one of the only properties that accept pets.

You get what you pay for.

The property is really run down and the cottage we stayed in was very neglected. From simple little things like burnt out light bulbs to the blinds feeling greasy when we went to open the windows. It’s pretty sad since the property looks like it once was a nice place. The lady in the office was really nice though.

Location was great. Grounds of property were kept up nice spacious areas. Believe most or all cabins have their own personal parking which is very convenient. Cons heater in cabin wasnt working first night called after hours number for help did not get a response until 630 am so first nihht we were pretty cold.cleanliness was sub par hair stuck on the walls in the bathroom pullout out soaga bed had crumbs in it for 300 a nigjt definitely expect to ne cleaner. Upon check out to go over these things with them office was empty called the number on door for assistance and no answer so just had to leave the key in the drop box for check out.

Convenient and cozy

Our stay was very good overall. Our family enjoyed the stay and would book again. Bring your own consumables: shampoo & conditioner, paper towels, cooking oil PROS: All rooms were clean, plenty of towels, everything we needed for cooking and serving food was provided, toaster, coffeemaker, microwave, oven & range, and full size refrigerator (Cabin 21), 32" TV with cable, four queen beds and a king size roll out couch gave our group plenty of room, great wifi, convenient access right on Hwy 18. CONS: The pool was closed until memorial day and the playground is rickety, no breakfast (plenty of places nearby). $50 fee charged at check in (described at booking but not added to hotels.com price.) Only some cabins have Jacuzzi tub (not a big deal for us). Stairs are small and narrow.

The ants were swarming the kitchen. The fireplace could not be used as it smokes. The worst complaint I have is I finalized on Expedia and the the property tagged on extra fees that said taxes. When I asked them about it they said it was a cleaning fee that they don’t include in third party sites. I am not a happy customer and will never return and will tell everyone I know.

Nora at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. The size of the cabin was sufficient for our party of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids). It had all of the necessary amenities to get through our weekend trip. However, this place is severely outdated and not well maintained at all. While I understand the want to keep the cottages “vintage”, some things require updating such as windows, drapes, TVs, bedding, showers, outdoor benches and BBQs. This place feels very stuffy, dusty and most hardware and appliances are VERY old and not in great condition. The most unappealing part of the stay was the grounds. They are not well maintained at all, with tons of overgrowth, weeds, broken down parts of appliances and none of the common amenities are in working order or in good condition. The pool was decent. The picnic bench outside of our cabin was broken, splintered and weathered and unusable. Cobwebs, bugs and dust everywhere. I would most likely not stay here again as there are so many other cabin choices that are better taken care of within the same area for similar pricing.

Misleading advertisement

The pictures are misleading for the cabin we stayed in. As a Hotels.com gold member, we were guaranteed a certain price. We paid that price but was unaware of the “daily cleaning fee” which they charged to our account. The floor needed vacuuming, there was never anyone in the office, the pillows and bed were old and flat, and there was no real patio or porch. The shower head fell apart! I think if we are going to pay an additional “daily cleaning fee” then the floors should be vacuumed and not swept, and landscaping shouldn’t have blown a bunch of debris into the spa and pool, making it unusable! The pictures for our cabin, showed the deluxe cabin and not the actual one that we got. It was tiny! The toilet seat was worn down to where the paint was coming off and the fixtures were ancient. If I had known about the additional cleaning fee, I would have booked the lake front lodge!
