We returned to Akomo after a stay the week before. It's very well located for train travelers and a direct and close walk to shops and restaurants and trams. We had left an item behind and it was waiting for us when we returned. The room is basic and it's self-entry but this is reflected in the reasonable price. Ask the owner for a Bern Welcome Card for free local transport. S/he was very responsive to all contacts.

Great room and location. Booked a double room and were upgraded to a triple room with separate living room and kitchen. Located right beside large Coop that has a good cafeteria on top floor for breakfast. Self check in worked well. Manager was on site much of day and provided us with iron and ironing board within a few minutes of messaging him through Expedia app. Parking garage located within 2 blocks as hotel has no parking.

We only stayed for one night but we were happy with the room. It was a 10 minute walk from the station and walkable to all the sites we wanted to see. The room was quiet and had AC. I was traveling with my husband and our 2 teenage boys. They were happy to have their own single beds. The room had a small kitchen area with a kettle, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and stove top. It is next to an Indian restaurant so you do smell Indian cuisine quite strongly in the hallway. We love Indian food but if you didn’t I could see that would be off putting.
