Only minor issue was that hot items like eggs and sausages were often cold. Fantastic central location with a local feel, about a 10–15 minute walk to the train station and light rail to the airport. I’m not sure how this compares to other Norwegian hotels but the room was small and the bathroom was beyond tiny. You were partially in the shower using the toilet in a standard room. I’d recommend going up to the next room level up for this property. The front desk staff however was excellent and provided recommendations around town. The property is also close to shopping in historic Bryggen.

The location is absolutely perfect - in the very centre of all the action. Room was clean and functional. Breakfast was amazing. Staff could have been a little more helpful at reception. They seemed disinterested. On arrival the lifts were not working so we had to go through the back and use the staff lift. Then our TV streaming wasn’t connecting. As a solution we were made to pack up and come down to reception to be re-roomed, only to find out the same problem was present in the next room. This was resolved by the next day. Overall the location wins - so I would recommend.
