Such a fun quirky little hotel. Loved the decor we just wondered looking at everything. They had a coffee station on one floor that was available 24/7. Breakfast was made to order instead of a buffet. Location was great everything was walkable. The rooms don’t have TVs idk if that’s an issue or not but different than other hotels. I would recommend and would stay here again.

The place is funky and gorgeous. I hat to change my room due to the kids next room being very loud. Mina from the front desk was extremely accommodating. She helped to find a quieter room the next morning and I slept much better the next night. I really liked the breakfast. I can only eat so much so I was happy it was ala carte not Buffet. It’s quite pricey but I’m glad that I chose this place for my first two nights in Bergen.

Loved the hotel charm and the location. Heat was not working properly and we got locked into our room. No phone in the room so had to call from outside line. Good thing there wasn’t a fire. Also bar downstairs is loud and goes ‘til late at night

What an eclectic gem in the heart of Bergen! From the moment we arrived with a group of 6, the staff couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay memorable. We have stayed in boutique hotels in many European countries, and this was one, if not thee, best. From the great location-a 5 minute walk to Bryggen- to the wonderful included breakfast, to the one-of-a-kind decor,this was a treat. Our only complaint was that we were only staying 1 night before a cruise.. The staff always had smiles on their faces, and they truly made you feel like going the extra mile for our group was no problem. Alexandra greeted us like long lost family. I know this is a “gushing” review, but is deserved. I picked this hotel by its 4.8/5 rating on Trip Advisor, and it deserves a 6/5. If boutique hotels are up your alley, don’t miss it!

I've been to many many fine hotels. Charmante is #1. It was a "pinch me" experience. And somehow the staff were just as wonderful as the property! Seriously, this place is worth traveling for just to stay at. The room, the 2nd floor coffee lounge (unreal), the 4th floor speakeasy, the restaurant, the art, the decor. Each was a 10/10.

What an absolute gem! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, breakfast was delicious, and our room was spotless. The location couldn’t be better—everything was within easy walking distance. Just a heads up, there are steps at the entrance, so pack accordingly if you have heavy luggage. It’s a beautifully designed boutique hotel with a romantic, slightly boudoir-style aesthetic—perfect for couples, though maybe not the most kid-friendly vibe.

Very romantic place to stay. Charming rooms, classic, but not tacky. Modern technology used for ac/heating and background music. Spotless. Staff is attentive and polite, even when it gets busy. Free espresso and coffee station set up outside to be used anytime. À la carte breakfast was beautifully served and tasted just as it looked. We ordered from the menu every morning, never got bored. Would love to return.
