The staff was very kind and ,despite the misscomunication between Expedia and them, they always tried to help on resolving the issues. They also were very helpful and efficient dealing perseverantly with Expedia ,fighting for my refund when I needed to cancel one night. Breakfast could be improved and more complete and abundant.

Good location. Just be aware that there’s no A/C for American travelers. We read that we could get a fan from the front desk but didn’t take advantage. Early check in option was nice to have as well.

Great location! Kiwi grocer across the street. Train station, light rail, park, coffee, cultural attractions within a few minutes walk of hotel. Bryggen within a 10 min walk. Found it unusual that I had to pay extra for early checkin. I was 3 hours early and a room was immediately available anyway. Not like staff had to service the room for me 🤔 I have never had to pay extra for an early checkin but my research has shown that some places are charging.

Our room was lovely and bright, big windows. Very roomy and comfortable. The rooms are scarce with “amenities” because they say that’s how they keep costs low. No tv in the room, no tissues, no coffee/tea in the room. There is a central kitchen where you can store food, microwave, refrigerate and eat your food. Coffee and tea are available. There was no milk for my tea, however. Self check in went smoothly. There is a person on site if there are any issues but otherwise everything is automated, check in/check out. Hotel is very conveniently place within 10 minute walk of central Bergen and a quiet area. The restaurant next door is where you have breakfast. If you book it with your room, the breakfast is small in quantity, 3 options to choose from though. Self serve coffee/tea/juice.

This was a pleasant surprise, first time at Citybox, and everything was simple and straight forward. Great communication on all steps of the process, booking to check out. All self serve process, couldn’t have been easier. Able to store luggage after check out, and cafe adjoined to the place. It was great!

This place has a good location. Not far away from the attractions. However, the bathroom is a big concern. After showering, the water splashed almost the entire bathroom floor and made it slippery. Also, there seems to be no ventilation to dry the bathroom. Hope the bathroom can be improved.

Very clean, quite spacious room (we had the regular double). It is not super sound proof but was quiet enough at night and we slept well. Nice communal areas with little kitchen and staff was really friendly! Great location outside of super touristy parts and still walking distance to everything.

Clean spacious room, great location, helpful staff. Laundry room with card payment was also an unexpected bonus. Downside was that the communal area was being renovated so some facilities were unavailable which was disappointing. Couldn’t work out the air conditioning controls so room got extremely hot at night. Self check-in also didn’t work.
