The airport bus drops you right at the door of the hotel, the funicular to the old town is an easy five minute walk and the hotel is well-placed between the old and new town. Breakfast was lovely, there is a restaurant on the roof, it is pricey but the views are really fantastic and the food was delicious. The hotel is also a fifteen minute from Atalanta's stadium.

Great location, very quiet, comfortable, modern. Restaurant was very nice with great view of upper old town. Breakfast buffet was like feeding time at the Zoo, not the hotels fault but recommended going early to avoid the rush. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend.

We have gone to Bergamo for a break on several occasions but this was the first stay at the Excelsior San Marco. Would not hesitate to stay again as room, staff and breakfast were all first class.
