A very basic stay in small rooms with a mini frig and microwave. Not walkable to restaurants, but easy enough to drive to one. The area was fairly quiet at night.

We booked this for a quick get away for a concert and it was perfect. The room was nice and updated, clean and comfortable. The Tv was also ran by Roku and already logged into Netflix which was nice and easy to use. Also the bed was way comfier than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. 10/10 would definitely book again!

Fantastic place to overnight. Super clean and updated rooms with top tier bedding and towels. Conveniently located to walk to the picturesque Deschutes River, and then a short 20 min walk along the beautiful river path to Drake Park and historic Bend. Note: They are using physical keys (team was on site), but they said they are planning to revert to keyless entry in the future. New favorite layover spot.

AC/heater came on and off about every 5 minutes throughout the night which kept us up. We would have shut it off but we had a baby sleeping in a pack and play and didn't want her to get cold. Otherwise, it was clean and adequate.

The room was clean and the front staff was helpful. The room does not have a ton of extra amenities but more than enough for a positive stay. The only negative I would say is that our room’s built in AC wasn’t working so they had a wall air and although it worked well and made the room cool, the curtain was unable to close fully so we had to hang a towel to completely cover the window so no one could see in

Overall, my stay at the central block Motel was good. The bed was comfortable and generally pretty clean. For the price I can’t really complain and would stay here again for that reason. The reason why I didn’t give it a full five stars is that they just needed a little bit of TLC overall. When I arrived to the lobby to check-in there was a ton of extra supplies and bags left in the lobby area. Couldn’t really distinguish what it all was, but it just looked a bit messy and was caught off guard. My room overall was pretty clean. There was a shelf mounted slightly crooked (no big deal). They provided me a key for my stay even though the doors had a pin number system, so that was also curious. Good value, easy parking, comfy bed.

As others have said, the construction was new and room was acceptable. The shower and bath were quite good. However, the amenities were not commensurate with other hotels. There was no coffee service in the room. (There was no coffee service at the front counter when we tried to check out.) There was no phone with which to communicate with office staff. The table and chairs in the room were functional but not practical. The microware sat upon the refrigerator, but the cord did not reach a plug. We had to move it to another part of the room in order to use it. Each of these were somewhat minor, but the sum total of them made the experience questionable.
