“We had a very comfortable stay in a twin room with a huge bathroom (no sea view). The room was clean and had everything we needed including a fan (although I had to clean it before use). The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The Boat House is nice and close to the beach and both Ryde and Seaview are walkable. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.”

“There were two restaurants near one Greek and one Latin American we tried the latter and it was good, the Greek one was closed Monday. Staff were welcoming, small family run hotel so personal. Nice bar area. Breakfast was included (continental) but they did offer boiled eggs or bacon bap or sausage bap in the morning.”

“The room was very clean but the shower had an ingrained floor, a broken tile on the shower step and broken grouting around skirting. The steam room hinges were so rusty that I was surprised they still held the door on and the jacuzzi was mostly peeled paint would not have liked to use it. The childrens play area consisted of one very worn swing and a dilapitated play shoe. The games had one worn pool table. This was for the use of 50 rooms. “The property is very nice. Looked very new inside and very clean. There were a few hiccups. The shower cut off for about 30 minutes in the middle of a shower. There were no linens for the sofa bed. The bar and restaurant are closed on Monday and Tuesday and I wasn't advised of this until I had already arrived in the UK. If it were not for those things, I would have given 5 stars.”

“Block I was in had safe gated parking for £15 a night. My room was up several floors of stairs, so very glad I only had light luggage. But the room was stylish, comfortable and clean. Great breakfast in the resturant in another block over the road. Would stay again if in Southsea.”
