Lovely B&B, great location
Lovely, scrupulously clean apartment, nicely decorated and quaint yet contemporary. Comfortable beds and excellent facilities such as the pool and ping pong table in the garden.
Had a fridge and microwave which were very useful and unexpected. Access to streaming channels on a large screen TV for the evening we stayed home. This was good as we had rain and couldnât sit out in the evenings which was unlucky.
The one drawback was the heat in the rooms - we were on the upper floor and it was uncomfortably hot for our 3 nights as heat rises. Windows open on the first night meant we got badly bitten by mosquitoes so we then had to close them for the remaining nights - but of course this was not the fault of the host! The metal shutters did work to prevent the rooms getting even hotter, however a standing room fan would have been a welcome addition, or provision of a thin sheet in the cupboard. (We ended up removing the duvet and sleeping under the duvet cover to protect from any mozzies.)
Of course we understand that Brittany isnât famous for hot weather so we wouldnât expect air conditioning.
Breakfast was fruit salad, bread, conserves and a pastry or crepe, granola, yogurt - a good selection. The host was welcoming and gave us tips on where to go. Overall I would recommend this B&B but maybe not in a heatwave!
