We have been staying at The Great House since 2015 when we first visited Belize. Over the years the staff has always been welcoming, pleasant, friendly, and most accommodating. Rooms are very clean and they continue to upgrade. We look forward to returning again and again.

I know why it is called the Great House now. Old classic architecture and friendly staff. Close to ferry and nearby restaurants. We were there only a night before continuing on our journey but they made us feel comfortable and arranged an excellent taxi driver who gave us a tour and lesson on Belize history on the way to the hotel.

The reception staff and were helpful, welcoming, friendly and all around excellent The Inn is cute with seating areas just outside each room. Breakfast was more of a snack than a meal, but sometimes it's the thought that counts. Unfortunately (not the property's fault) there's reomodeling of a multifloor hotel across the street so the view from the Inn was a little unappealing. The area around the Inn felt safe, the staff and cleanliness were so wonderful, I would definitely stay again.

The Great House Inn is in a beautiful old Belize City Mansion. The rooms are large, the AC works, the staff are friendly, efficient and helpful, with good recommendations. The free bananas at the reception desk are tasty and were welcomed. The area around the Great House, is like a lot of Belize City: rundown. But there is new development in the city and investors are spending. I suspect there would be more investment in the area, if the endemic corruption of the country that so many locals reported, were lessened.

1926 British-era inn, ambience preserved. Spacious room, high ceiling. The Continental breakfast included fruit, cereal, cheese, and yoghurt. So although it was not a full-on hot breakfast, it was adequate. Nice staff.
