The place is magical and beautiful out of nowhere in the middle of Alentejo. So if you are looking for a peaceful holiday definitely. The staff is lovely. The communal spaces are really lovely and you feel comfortable there is different areas and you can relax around different pools always with staff around to cater for food and drinks. Check in / out was very smooth the area is comfortable to wait even if is busy . Food wise is outstanding. The restaurant is really nice and the staff again are brilliant. They had a food menu for children and they cater really well for families. Plenty of activities for children and adults. Plenty of space so you never feel to crowded. Different approach for a Holiday

Heaven on earth. Absolutely unique and amazing stay. From the welcome sightings of the stork nests to the view of beautiful horses calmly standing by the lake I fell in love with the environment. Our check in was fun and very enjoyable. Perhaps the welcome wine glass made the experience that more enjoyable. Great friendly staff that gave a great overview of what the Herdade had to offer. Regret only spending one night but we can’t wait to go back and take full advantage of all that we missed this time. We stayed in the “Casa de preda” and had our own private little pool and unobstructed view of the wineries and landscape. The little details of the embroidered linens with the Herdade logo and all the food and drinks that welcomed us in our beautiful contemporary house was superb. The amenities were top notch and all the Baobab candles made the place smell so good. The music playing in the background when we arrived to the room so cool. So all senses were taken care of and an instant calm and relaxation ensued. The restaurant was awesome as well. The food and wine were outstanding. The “egg rice pudding” was the most beautiful and delicious dessert I have ever had. Love the family story and I got the coffee table book of “Malhadinha , The heart of Alentejo” on display in my living room in California to reminisce of such wonderful and magical place. Having been born in Alentejo , this Herdade encompasses the spirit and essence of this cultural rich area in Portugal.

Espetacular!!!!

O local é espetacular: atendimento de primeira, todos muito atenciosos e preocupados com o bem estar dos hóspedes. Destaco a Joana, que nos atendia no café da manhã, e a Maria, que nos atendeu no restaurante ao jantar, além do pessoal da recepção e um gerente gaúcho que ficava no restaurante à noite. As instalações são um sonho: quartos, área da piscina, restaurante. A estadia não é barata mas vale cada centavo. Só tenho uma observação a fazer: acho que deveria ter outra opção de alimentação que não o restaurante com estrela Michelin. Gostamos muito mas, para o paladar da minha família, sentimos falta de outra opção de comida, talvez regional portuguesa, mais simples para podermos variar as refeições.
