Located on the south western coast of Canukkale in Turkey, Assos, whose ancient name is Behramkale, has views of the Greek Island of Lesbos, on the Aegean. The quiet coastal town is quaint and walking in the early morning (which is when this photo was taken) not only gives you the most spectacular sunrise, but lets you see the fishermen prepare before they set out for the day. Definitely one of my most favorite places to visit in Turkey.
