Vacations Close To Beckman Mill County Park

Obviously they are struggling. Rooms were updated more than a year ago, and are basic but clean. But really short of expected amenities: no coffee maker, pool is still closed, breakfast has no hot options. The area seems a little sketchy: massage parlors, a strip bar, alcohol outlets… but trying to gentrify with newer apartments. But the biggest problem is still no onsite staff in the evening or at night.

This was our first visit to the Edgewater, and we loved it! We booked a room with a Terrace and enjoyed that dedicated outdoor space for sipping our morning coffee and some quiet evenings. The spa, whirlpool, gym, and room service amenities were all exactly what you’d expect. If we return to Madison again for a “pamper ourselves” trip, we would definitely return to the Edgewater.

Hotel is cute and well maintained for a collegiate hotel. Unfortunately, there was a stain of something on the blanket on the bed. In addition, I couldn’t get the water to run clear. Meaning my sink was full of brown water. Took pictures of both and showed the young lady at the front desk early in the morning. She offered me a few points on my Hilton account. Service recovery because I had booked through Expedia was POOR!

Amazing location, friendly staff, comfy beds. Hotel itself is older with small windows and could use and update.

The mattress had such a divot on one side I rolled into it if I slept in the middle of the bed. The furniture had chunks missing and dents everywhere. There were no USB ports in the room. It’s an old property and it shows.

Bathroom was really gross Hair all over the bathroom & beds Thought about going elsewhere & forfeiting the pre paid room. Hotel staff was really nice :)
