“Check in was super quick and the staff are polite and friendly. Room was ok. Fridge came in handy, and we spotted an iron with a small ironing board. Also tea/coffee making facilities. I suspect the room could get warm, but there was a fan there, which we didn't need. The double glazed window in room 3, opens a bit, but the old sash windows behind it don't open. The flip side of that being that you wouldn't hear any external noise from outside. Electric shower which worked fine with good...

“So pleased we booked an overnight stay here. Every member of staff we met were friendly and helpful. Small room but it had everything that you would need including a safe, aircon (so welcome with the high temperatures), an iron, hairdryer and tea and coffee. The bathroom was great too. Good shower and there were fluffy towels and toiletries. There was an excellent choice at breakfast- a wide selection of cooked breakfasts. “Wifi didn't work at my room at all, nice hotel with very good restaurant but nowadays good WIFI quality is a must, in a business trip very needed. Personally I found the mattress too soft.”

Having had to slum it in a rival establishment a few years’ ago, when there was no room at Poets Corner, it was a relief to note how well looked after we were.”
