Lovely historic building

Beautiful historic hotel in great location. Very close to parking. Staff excellent. Only criticism is that the staircase is a narrow spiral staircase and not great for older people. I would recommend and stay again.

Beautiful medieval surrounding

The attendants at the front desk were extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was beautiful and the bed was extra comfortable. It was located at the top of a tower. We had a tasty breakfast in a nice old castle room. The blending of old architecture and modern design is stunning and of high quality.

We loved the old charm of this hotel. At the same time, we had just enough modern amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful. They reached out before our stay, asking how they could make our stay more comfortable. They made a reservation I requested, which was very helpful. We will definitely return. And the town of Beaune is a must see. Merci beaucoup!

We loved the hotel but we did not like waiting on the attendant to take a call before allowing us to check in. He also needed to help both of us with our luggage because we were in room 30, on the third floor. He reluctantly offered to help me for which I was grateful but my husband needed assistance, too.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Les Remparts Hôtels et Demeures Historiques earlier this week (Sept 2024) as we wrapped up a two week trip. Having spent 7 nights on a longboat down the Rhine River, we loved the spacious room and bath/shower, along with the beautiful accommodations and finishes in our room. We didn't realize the significant historical significance of the property until we had gotten home. Arnaud greeted us and took great care of us, including getting us settled and luggage to our third floor room, restaurant recommendations, directing us where to grab our bag lunch for our all-day wine tours, breakfast service, pouring the best wine, etc. And Louie saw us off and ensured our prompt trip to the train station. Thank you, Arnaud and Louie! We loved the fresh breakfast and great coffee, nice breakfast area, wonderful patio/courtyard area and cool bar area with an awesome wine list. The assistance with wine tour recommendations, restaurant reservations, tips and advice, etc etc was spot on. We commend Bruno and Emmanuelle on a beautiful property and preserving such a historic treasure! Along with employing the nicest and most courteous staff we came across on our two week trip to France, Germany and The Netherlands, you won us over as the only place to stay when we are back in Beaune.

Not worth the price or the four stars

The old building has character, but it would benefit from some renovation. The room is a bit run-down and therefore doesn’t feel clean — the old floor has gaps between the paving stones, some of which are even loose. The sofa bed also looks worn and uninviting. Breakfast wasn’t worth the price: the selection was rather limited for €25 (for example one bred type, two cheese sorts). And you might not appreciate the video camera monitoring the buffet.

Hyggeligt og flot hotel

Rigtig fint og flot hotel. Personalet var meget søde og serviceorienterede. Der er temmelig lydt på hotellet om natten, da det er en gammel (og meget flot restaureret) bygning.

A romantic stay

A beautiful old hotel with a lovely courtyard. The room was very spacious and had a gorgeous large modern bath. They had a beautiful bar area also. Our breakfast was in a room with candlelight. Very nice! My only exception was that we were on the 3rd floor with heavy luggage and a small staircase -no elevator! Good location within walking distance to almost everything.

Very clean & quiet. Updated bathroom & top quality bed. Excellent staff with helpful recommendations and assistance with restaurant bookings, etc. Very good breakfast with fresh juices, pastry, cheeses and cooked eggs or omelettes available upon request. Everything we wanted to see was within a short walk including the train station which we used for the short trip to Dijon for a day.
