We had an interesting and exciting stay at the Shady Lady. The hosts were very flexible and kind, they allowed us to adjust breakfast times so we could enjoy the national park early in the morning before the heat. We loved the many forms of animal life we encountered on the gorgeous property. We came away with many pictures of peacocks and bunnies.

Be aware - this used to be a brothel. It isn't anymore. The people who run it now are very nice. They have peacocks, cats, and dogs. The dogs are very friendly. This more like an Inn. It has it's own kitchen. The room was very clean. It was a good place to stay.

I don't have words to say how conforting was my short stay at this B&B. Jennifer and here friends were so sweet and welcoming I felt like home more than 5 thousand miles from where I live (probably my best stay in the US). Animals and pets are kings there, it shows they are very well treated. The hosts have hundred of stories to share and are a joy to be around. The breakfast was excellent and the atmosphere was very friendly. This magnificent place deserves way more time to enjoy it. It's safe even if you're a solo traveller. The hosts are just so funny and kind. I highly recommend Shady Lady B&B and I'll sure be back as soon as I can !

This was a unique property. The hosts were very nice and the breakfast was good. The room and bath were in need of an update but, they were serviceable. The location was north of Beatty but, an easy drive to Beatty and Death Valley.

Super cute place, great combination of cozy and ktichy. Location felt like a million miles from anywhere, especially with the peacocks roaming around, but close enough to serve as a good base to explore Death Valley NP (even more so if/when Grapevine Pass is reopened). Jennifer & Nigel were helpful & super friendly and their breakfasts made for excellent exploration fuel. Great collection of books and maps on-site to use for planning. Can't wait to stay here again!

The hospitality at the Shady Lady was excellent. It was well worth the extra drive, out of the way. Both mornings they made us a hearty, delicious breakfast & sent us off with suggestions on how to spend our day. It felt like staying at a friend’s house. Cool history. We had a wonderful stay! The owners waited up for us to arrive and were very kind and welcoming. The Victorian room was cozy and the whole property was clean and that's with roaming peacocks, a goat, a couple dogs, and a cat. Breakfast was good too! They have a pool but it was a little too chilly out for us. It is in the middle of nowhere so if you're low on gas get it at Beatty on your way over from Death Valley. I got a warm hug goodbye too. Shady Lady, we hope to meet up again some day.

On our road trips, we have stayed in many hotels and motels, the Shady Lady was a unique and wonderful experience! Incredible desert views, lots of wildlife, and yes, a delicious breakfast! Extraordinarily pet friendly, more so than any hotel we’ve stayed at.
