Vacations Close To Beale Air Force Base

We arrived early knowing our room wouldn't be ready. We had to ring the desk bell twice to get someone to help us. Clerk said he'd call us when our room would be ready. Their luggage "storage" is behind the small front desk. It is often unguarded. We came back a little later and sat waiting for our room and it go to be the actual check in time and the room still wasn't ready. We had to specify NOT to be put in a room near construction. The pool was closed until 2pm that day. Our room was on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator so we had to lift our heavy bags up narrow stairs. Our "deluxe" room was anything but. It was small, the bathroom was tiny with almost no counter space. The only good things were lots of towels and bath supplies. The tub had an old mat in it. When I went to the pool the next day there were no towels there so I asked front desk who said they send some down. I waited probably 20 minutes until I asked someone else and they were brought up. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Great hotel right next to Pacific Beach. All amenities were spot on and the access to the beach is right outside the hotel. I had a great view of the beach from our balcony, only downside is that it is next to the pool area so other guests stay out there past 10 pm talking. The staff is super friendly and helpful with any questions. 35$ per day parking is worth it if you don’t want to spend your day searching for parking and if it’s a rent a car it is definitely protected in the garage. The lobby aquarium is a bonus to see some beautiful fish when you pass by.

This was a great place to stay. We loved having pool and beach access available. The resort did a nice job with planning events like s'mores on the beach. And the restaurants were good too. We even got to see the Sea World drone show from our room. We would stay here again!

Bedroom itself did not have AC unit! This bedroom is supposed to sleep 4 people, with no AC in humid San Diego? We paid nearly $400 a night for no AC in the bedroom and to boot there was no elevator for our tower. None of this was information was given to us before or during check-in . Not only does our bedroom have no AC but housekeeping left the balcony door wide open, in attempt to cool off the room maybe, but instead left the room full of mosquitos and all kinds of other bugs. Being mid July the place was at 100% occupancy so we had to suck it up and stay put. Location of resort is good, just make sure you are staying in the open layout rooms if you want AC where you sleep. As for elevators, some building have them and some don’t so good luck with that. Oh, also went to the on-site restaurant Dockside, don’t waste you money or time. We were there for lunch on a Friday, they were out of French fries and Tatar sauce for fish and chips and to boot they didn’t even tell us about no tartar sauce until we asked for the sauce with our meal! $25.00 for fish and chips without any kind of sauce or vinager. Overall, not worth the price.
