The staff at the Darby were very friendly and helpful. The common areas are very nice and it's great to have a bar to unwind during the evening. However, the reason I am rating this as poor are the rooms. The building has the looks of a renovated retirement home. Consequently, the rooms are very small (perhaps 12ft x 12 ft), air conditioning is provided by a basic and very noisy window air conditioner unit, the room smelled damp throughout the stay, the shower is part of a converted closet, and the walls to the corridor are paper thin (and the bed is placed against the hallway wall), allowing a lot of noise to enter the room. This all contributed to a terrible night's rest. I would definitely not stay here again.
