Comfortable hotel with friendly reception staff in a great location that is handy for restaurants, cafes etc and only a few minutes walk to the Tapestry Museum and Cathedral. The room was spacious and comfortable.

This historic hotel was a good option for our Normandy beaches trip. The room was not as advertised (much smaller than the photo), but fairly well appointed. The fan provided for air conditioning did not function, and the plugs in the room did not work after the first night. The staff was agreeable, but badly overworked, making them slow to assist because of so many duties. The breakfast buffet was open until 10:00 am, but was not refreshed after 8:30. The historic bar could have been lively, but there was no bartender when we stopped in after dinner at 7:00 pm. Overall, it was a “fair to good” stay.
