It’s very quiet…..

It’s a quiet hotel in a rural area so not exactly ’buzzing’. As it’s an older building with add-ons finding your way to some bedrooms can be a story. It’s all fine, but not exactly a memorable experience.

Grand hotel!

Great place to stay if you like stately homes. Large room, gorgeous view over parkland, good restaurant, main bar wasn't open but was being refurbished, and look great and near completion. Would stay again.

The executive suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. Handy little fridge in the room. I am gluten and wheat free and there were plenty of options for meals so was a good selection. Had a lovely family celebratory stay. Stayed in an executive room and it was very spacious and clean. Dinner was enjoyable without being out of this world. Breakfast was far greater value and the offering was very good with a buffet style element alongside an a la carte menu to choose hot items from (as many as you like). Great venue, room and staff. Dining has gone down market a bit and on this occasion was poor. Over-cooked prawns and poor quality steak. Should have said more at the time but being my wife's birthday I let it go.
