Greeted by staff at reception - very attentive to our needs. Room was comfortable and looked clean although there was a problem with the bathroom sink. Wasn’t much of a hindrance so reported to reception staff on departure. Only there for 1 night so can’t say if it was resolved. Food in the bar was adequate - we decided to skip breakfast so can’t comment on that. Overall was a pleasant stay.

An ideal hotel to explore around the Barnsley area. We used the local train at Dodworth.The town centre is well worth a visit - very clean, modernised, an excellent indoor market and a wide variety of shops. The hotel itself was first class in all respects.

We received a very friendly welcome when we booked in, quite late at night. The room was clean, though a bit hot despite the window being left ajar and the snow outside. Plumbing worked OK, though I couldn't take down the shower head, which was way above my head and appeared to be a bit stuck.
