Arrived to a bank of motorbikes which was a bit intimidating but after that (they left after 5 mins) everything was A1👌 Good sunday roast; room tastefully decorated; shower was great but best of all was the quality mattress and feather pillows - slept easily which is unusual for me in hotels. Lovely ambience throughout the hotel too. Stylish & excellent stay for the price point. Would def go back.

Wonderful stay.

Cannot recommend this hotel more highly. Could not fault a thing. Will definitely return if this way again. In fact it is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. And we have stayed in a lot.

The Hotel and room was very comfortable and food and drink was excellent. The walk to High Force falls was just enough to walk of an excellent breakfast.

The property was seeped in history. We stayed in room 3, the Kings room. A lovely compact room, spotless with lovely little touches such as a great selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, a fresh little bottle of milk, a comfy bed, feather duvet, black out curtains, great shower and toiletries. The breakfast was fantastic. George, our host gave us helpful information and free tickets to Raby Castle. Wow, what a fabulous castle. The rooms were stunning and thd guides very knowledgeable. Fabulous location
