This a really lovely hotel and it’s location means it’s easy to get around Barcelona using the metro system. The aerobus from the airport also drops off and picks up from close by. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Best sleep I’ve had in a while on the beds there! Staff are helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel ☺️

Staff at the Occidental were top notch, breakfast was great. Room was excellent, whole place was very clean, and was nice extra to have the 8th floor pool bar. The pool is very small and we did not use it. The location is great for Barcelona, 10 mins taxi from Atocha train station, walkable / safe in the evenings, plenty of mini-markets and restaurants to enjoy.

The team were particularly friendly, and helpful with our requests. It was disappointing that some of the gym equipment & TV were out of order for the 5 days of our stay - I was looking forward to the gym after 2 months of AirBnB stays across Spain. Overall, a great stay which we really enjoyed.
