Staff was friendly , but there was a terrible smell coming from the sewage in the bathroom so I had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times. The neighbors were also very noisy. The breakfast buffet was horrendous, worst eggs and tortilla de patata I have ever tried

We chose a basic room with twin beds. Cheapest bc we were planning a long trip. This hotel was probably built a couple hundred years ago. The room was large, with NO windows, only two air vents. However, the beds were SO COMFORTABLE!!!! And two doubles, too. Rainhead shower about 6.5' tall. Great location. Right by San Antonio market and 3 blocks from Hop On/Hop Off Bus stop. 2 blocks to airport shuttle. Restaurant attached was delicious. Highly recommend.

Fantastic stay at this little gem of a hotel. Location is brilliant for getting around, their is a really amazing and big Indoor market around the corner for everything you could want. Fantastic staff. Loved our stay and would highly recommend

Everyone working at reception was absolutely fabulous. The rooms, especially the bathroom was even prettier and more luxurious than it looks in the pictures. Truly cannot wait to stay there again!

Just Okay

This was OK for an overnight stay on our way out of Barcelona. I liked the location and neighborhood. This probably was a very nice hotel at some point, but seems to have been neglected and needs a refresh. There was mold in the bathroom and other areas where a fresh coat of paint would be needed. For the price I would have expected more. The bed was comfortable though … strange TV set up behind mirrored glass.

The main ground floor area of the hotel was engaging and fun. Very creative in design. The food and beverages offered in the restaurant were very good and reasonably priced. The accommodation was very comfortable. I will happily stay here again.

The room was terrific. It was very large and comfortable. The restaurant and bar were nice and the food and drink were good too. The staff was very nice and helpful. As a single female traveling for the first time abroad I felt safe and everyone was really nice.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful when I had questions After a long flight from Western Canada, having a restaurant as good as market downstairs in the hotel was heaven sent I also had breakfast there the next day It’s a great option - But after that, I ventured out into the neighbourhood where there are lots of friendly neighborhood, restaurants It’s easy to get around as it’s a subway station And honestly, you can just walk!

Room is tiny and much older, plain, and fairly unpleasant compared to photos and descriptions. Staff is very nice. In-house dining is terrible, but bartender is super friendly and made me the very best lemon drop martini that I ever had. Parking garage is around the corner, short walk.

We really enjoyed our three days at the Market, from an easy Metro ride in from BCN to its great location with a major grocery one block away, easy Metro and bus connections and a vibrant neighbourhood. It’s an old building but well maintained — our room was perfectly made up each day — but walls are thin so you can hear things. Great shower! We dined in one night and the fixed menu was a deal, but this is Barcelona! No shortage of good eating, great walking and atmosphere. A “Hola” card lets you zoom anywhere. Just beware the pickpocket “teams” that are everywhere but thick on the subway. We lost nothing to them but caught four trying to steal from us just coming in from the airport! A great place to stay!

Loved the interior of the hotel and the bed was comfy. Drains weren’t good as let off an eggy smell and the walls were that thin you could hear ants walking. Hear doors closing, people using the toilets and what the rooms next door were getting up to. Was a shame as had high hopes for when saw the hotel!

Friendly staff and helpful with a change of room since was given a honeymoon room instead of a double twin room. Could have been cleaner, dust on floor edges and walls need paint touch ups. Bed mattresses were not comfortable. Only one mirror in bathroom, none in room. Breakfast was good and had a nice spread. Not the best area to stay in to see the tourist attractions. Ubers take forever, you have better luck if you just flag a taxi down.

I found the downstairs area with the restaurant to be nice. But going upstairs to the hotels was a different story. The actual hotel rooms were not depicted clearly on the website. The rooms were very old and seemed like an older building that never got remodeled. The walls are paper thin and I could hear everything in the hallway outside my door as well as in the rooms next to me. The only way I could sleep was with earbuds in my ears playing something overnight. There were also no coffee makers, fridges, or microwaves in the rooms. It wasnt a horrible place to stay. It was decent, but I wanted to leave my honest review to help others, because these are things I would've wanted to know.
