Nice stay!

The front desk staff was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was tasty and sufficient. The family room suite was beautiful, nice and spacious, bigger than expected. We had to get used to turning the lights on and off with the room key, yet we adjusted. The area directly around the hotel was a little dirty, yet the location was great, near many shops and a short walk to La Sagrada Familia. We would stay there again!

Pleasant stay

The room was small but comfortable. The hotel bar had surprisingly good prices. Good budget stay except the price was too high. All the hotels in vicinity were overpriced. You pay for the location.

Away from the hustle and bustle

Pros - 25 mins from airport (40 euro) 15 mins walk to sagrada, small super market next door, quiet, air con effective, breakfast was good and ran until 10.30. Not as great - apart from the sagrada everything else is a 20 to 50 mim walk away. Also not much night life nearby just a couple of snall bars. Still a great hotel and away from the hustle and bustle. Also worth noting double was two singles pushed together. They were not held in anyway so moved apart easily.

Where NOT to stay in Barcelona

Sincerely, this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. There were cockroaches in our room, the bathroom had no air circulation, and it leaked a yellow fluid! The room was always super stuffy, and the air con system did not work! The walls are paper thin; we could literally listen to everything outside the room; there were noises from some type of renovation as early as 7am. The two only nice points were the person who checked us in; he was AMAZING in solving our problems. And the two housecleaning ladies we've met were also INCREDIBLE in changing our towels and giving us shampoo and toilet paper when needed. I DO NOT recommend this hotel; we only picked it because of the location, but don't make the same mistake as us!

As of Feb. 2024, the hotel is under renovation, so some rooms have likely been upgraded. My room was clearly older, but mostly functional. The big problem was that there was only one power outlet, and it was nowhere near the desk. The breakfast buffet offered lots of choice, and the breakfast room was pleasant. Close to Sagrada Familia and a metro stop.

Pros: Perfect for tourists because all the main attractions are at a walkable distance! The bus stop and the metro are right around the corner too and some cafes. The hotel offers a buffet style breakfast for 9 euros/person too. The buffet staff was nice, but Mari was especially friendly! The front desk lady, Lesia, was very helpful when we did not know how to take the metro. Housekeeping makes your bed everyday which is great so after a long day of sight seeing we come back to a clean looking room. Cons: Some cons are that there is a light switch on the headboard of the beds. It happened every night that our heads would turn the lights on and wake up our family. The way the lights work in the room is that you need to insert your keycard into a slot that activates all the switches. You could remove the keycard before bed to prevent this issue from happening but then if you get up to use the restroom at night, it would be pitch dark and you would not be able to activate the lights without the keycard. Another con is that the toilet is inches away from the bathtub/shower, meaning that it is basically impossible to sit with your legs straight (facing forward like normal) so the best way to use the toilet is to sit sideways… yeah, unless you want to be crammed with your shins touching the tub, you need to sit sideways on the toilet. Also there is no fan in the bathroom and the shower curtain touches your skin unless you stick it to the tub with water.. yuck!
