Excellent hotel. Perfect central location for Barcelona. The decor throughout is absolutely stunning - it’s like a big piece of artwork! Fabulous breakfast. Stunning roof terrace with pool and bar. The staff are extremely polite and friendly - always there to help. Despite being in the centre of Barcelona the hotel was incredibly peaceful and quiet. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. My 8 year old daughter and I had a lovely stay.

This hotel was one of the most beautiful hotels we’ve stayed in. Right in the thick of the Gothic Quarter, we couldn’t have asked for a better oasis. The rooftop pool and pool bar was exceptional. Our rooms were impressive. One of them had an amazing balcony.

Room was nice and clean, the hotel was still having some refurbishment works taking place, but this wasn't an issue as the decor in the stairwells, corridors was great and had amazing architecture and ambience. Staff were excellent. Especially Alex over at the front bar. Hotel is in a good location to access everything, but you do get some of the downside of being in an area so close to the Ramblas. Decent amount of noise through the night, and there's a mission up the street that can draw interesting crowds in the later hours. Bathroom doors in our room we're fairly transparent glass, so if you need a bit more privacy you may want to inquire about the type of setup first.

What a great hotel and location. The recently refurbed rooms and spacious communal areas are a pleasure. Breakfast was really good and the location is superb. The pool is nice for kids but on the small side if you’re looking for exercise. We were unlucky with power outages while we were there but would def stop here again.

The hotel was lovely, really elegant and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Only downside is that the roof top area was still under going renovation during our stay so no pool. The hotel itself is in a great location to explore Barcelona with easy transport links and the gothic quarter and las ramblas just a moments walk away.

This hotel was so nice. The beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms had wonderful rain showers. The staff at the hotel were so courteous and helpful! Good location… just a short walk to Ramblas area. Very safe and secure. Definitely 10 out of 10!!

The hotel itself is stunning. Gorgeous rooms -ours was dark due to the location. We had to switch rooms..long story..and our first room did have light . I would like to commend the doormen! Always smiling and helpful. The location is sketchy ( around hotel)..do not go down the street to explore, if you head to the Gothic area ,that direction is fine. The hotel is super close to Boqueria market and close to the Gothic quarter. Since I actually live in a huge city myself…so I am used to locations like this..so honestly no big deal. The breakfast was amazing..in a beautiful room and they served everything, Tumeric shots! Ham! Mushrooms and green beans. It was wonderful . No early check ins. Rooftop bar beautiful. Unique stay.

Awesome stay at Hotel España! In a very walkable area, comfortable deluxe room with balcony. Staff friendly and helpful. Very close to Boqueria Market which was amazing, and we walked to each day of our stay. Would definitely recommend.
