We did not avail the breakfast, front desk staff's are great, very accommodating and speaks English (which is a plus), the room we are book are excellent -we did not anticipate a patio, that is a plus. Clean rooms, and well maintained property. The only thing is, it is far from the city of Barcelona, subway is not that far anyways, the hotel is in Eixample, very safe place.

Excellent hotel at a good price.

We were very happy with our five night stay at Hotel Derby. The hotel was clean, quiet, comfortable, and had an excellent staff. The staff gave us useful tourist information and they resolved several special requests. I particularly appreciate the 24-hour receptionists who helped us get a taxi to the airport at 3:00 AM.

During our stay, water was leaking from the bathroom ceiling, apparently coming from the room above. We called the lobby and staff came very quickly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the issue could not be resolved at that moment, and we were not offered another room because the hotel was fully booked. Aside from this plumbing issue, we have no other complaints about the hotel. We hope this problem can be properly fixed for future guests.
