Excellent service from friendly staff, great location Nice touch with free tea, coffee or even a beer 24 hrs per day. Only downsize is the size of rooms but considering this is right in the centre of Barcelona more than acceptable for a short stay.

Room is small but comfortable and cleaned. The bed is very confortable as well. The staff is real helpful and friendly. The location is excellent. Walking distance to the principal tourist spots. The only thing is a small boutique hotel located in 2nd floor of an old building with no elevator. Staffs was willing to help us with the luggage’s during check-in and out.

The hotel was lovely, the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to get my room ready early when my flight plans changed. The lovely little touches such as the wine, bag, ear plugs and hand written postcard meant so much to me. The coffee station with daily fruit and muffins was a really nice touch. I would totally recommend this fabulous little hotel and will visit again soon

Overall we enjoyed our stay in Barcelona with Hostal Ambos Mundos! The staff was incredible accommodating and provided fantastic communication. It was in a prime location being close to shops, restaurants and nightlife. Our balcony overlooked a lively plaza, which could tend to be quite loud at night (that’s to be expected travelling during spring break) but during the day it was teeming with life, even a mini opera concert. You aren’t supplied with a physical key to your room but are given a code and an app that opens the door to your room, front door to the hotel and the street level door. As nice as it was to not worry about misplacing a hotel key, the thought of your phone dying while out and about and being locked out of the hotel during closed reception hours was an added stress. It is good to note that the hotel is on the second floor so pack light as you’ll have to carry your luggage up multiple flights of stairs. However, we had such an incredible time at Hostal Ambos Mundos, also thanks to all the free beer, muffins and coffee in the common space. I would highly recommend anyone coming to Barcelona to stay in this beautiful hotel!

The room was just what we wanted. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the balcony looked right onto the Plaza. The location is ideal next to La Rambla with easy access to restaurants, bars and shopping. Amazing stay.

I did my first solo trip, and staying here was perfect!! It was in the middle on the plaza reial, so people were always outside dinning, and it always felt safe. Would recommend to anyone solo traveling or traveling in general!

The balcony views overlook an amazing non stop action plaza. This is in the heart of Barcelona and you can see La Ramblas from the balcony. This is truly an amazing experience for staying in Barcelona. We were staying from Canada on our Honeymoon and the staff left us a bottle of champagne in the room and were very very nice. We can't say enough about how happy we were with our stay.

The staff was friendly, approachable and helpful. When you walk in, there is a welcome area with free Nespresso coffee and delicious chocolate. My room was clean, and cozy, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The location is fantastic, in a plaza full of restaurants with outdoor seating and the plaza is next to La Rambla (street full of restaurants and shops). It's walking distance to the Columbus statue where one of the bus stops for the Hop on - Hop off bus stops. About a 20 min walk to Gaudi's Casa Batllo.

We had a great stay at Hostal Ambos Mundos! We were right in the gothic quarter surrounded by tons of shops and restaurants, with La Rambla right down the street. Everything was walking distance for us including the beach and Gaudi buildings. As for the hotel, it was very cute and cozy with a friendly staff. Also the property is staffed 24/7 so we felt safe and without fear of being accidentally locked out. Despite being in a very central area, our room was super quiet and we were able to rest peacefully each night. Keep in mind there are no elevators but that was not an issue for us!

We enjoyed our stay at Hostal Ambos. Cecilia was a rock star. She went above and beyond to meet our needs and that is really exceptional and appreciated. The room was cozy and beautiful. The shower was great. We loved the shower. In general, the room was spacious for two people for being Europe. The balcony was nice with a beautiful view of the Plaza Real. Conveniently located to all the main attractions. Walking distance to reataurants, shops and public transportation. The hostal is terrible we needed to walk up through the stairs four floors with the baggage. Area unsafe, very old and smell so bad. The only good thing was the location. I would recommend to look some options around that would be much better at the same or better price.

Great location, metro close by but walking distance to many places. Rooms at the front provide fantastic views overlooking the "Royal Square" which can be lively at night. Ear plugs are provided but if you are a light sleeper you may struggle! However if you like being at the heart of everything, then this is the place for you! Rooms are modern, clean & compact but have everything you need and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is no lift (at present) but it's only 2 flights of stairs and you can apparently call the Hostal if you do need help with luggage. It's not a Hotel, so no facilities such as a restaurant or bar but lots of options in the Square, right outside your doorstep!
