An unforgettable stay — the staff made all the difference I've been traveling for decades, and I can honestly say this was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. What set the Catalonia Magdalenas apart wasn't just that it checked every box — it was the staff. They were incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely went above and beyond at every turn. That level of care is what transformed a great hotel into something truly special, well beyond what five stars usually means. Everything else was excellent too: the service was superb, the hotel was spotless, the rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed, and the location couldn't have been better. But it's the people who work here that I'll remember most. If you're deciding where to stay, don't hesitate — you'll be in wonderful hands.

Excellent location very near the Palau de la Musica and the Barcelona cathedral that was all dressed up for the Pope’s June 2026 visit. The room felt modern and surprisingly spacious for its relatively small footprint. The rain showerhead was luxurious, the room was spotless, and it was very quiet despite being in the center of a great neighborhood. Adam, the bellhop, was extremely helpful with directions and tips! Trigo Cafe is a 2-min walk and has fantastic breakfasts if you don’t want to do the hotel’s buffet. We would definitely stay at another Catalonia property again!

I would like to give the staff 6 stars ✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️. David on the Front Desk saved me from having a breakdown, when I realised I had left my passport at the last hotel. He helped me organise retrieval of the documents. Naya was also wonderful in helping me arrange two day tours in Barcelona. Great staff. I am so grateful for their assistance.
