Barahona is absolutely beautiful. The mountains and rivers and beaches are incredible. The city needs help with trash pickup. Too much trash in the streets and in and around some beaches. Dominicans are not smart and just throw trash on the ground.
It’s a a beautiful city have a lot more to offer!!
It was a great stopping point to continue our trip to Bahia de Las Aguilas (most beautiful beach you should not miss) Playa Y Rio San Rafael, Las Marias, Las Fronteras of Haiti.
Barahona itself was just ok, the problem was the people, most places you go to you are looked upon as an outsider with lots of money they need to take from you by overcharging, or not returning change when you buy something. You have to ask for it.
