Fantastic stay for our family of 5. Great location for us close to park entrance and easy drive downtown Bar Harbor. Great breakfast, much more than the “norm”. Lots of nice “extras” my kids enjoyed - nightly s’mores, a craft one day and the trail mix station one morning. Would highly recommend.

This was a jewel of a find. Was retro-themed, super clean, not expensive and offered a bunch of extras we didn't even know about, like Smores every night and a bunch of hiking equipment you could borrow (we needed 3 umbrellas). Staff was super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was much better than we were expecting. Highly recommend!

We drove in from Boston for my son’s 16th birthday and enjoyed this little gem so much. The trail is perfect and the location is great! The staff was incredible and the little details they do such as, s’mores night, and make your own trail mix, sun catcher making. We found the Bar Harbor Motel a wonderful place to stay. The night we were there, they had s'mores for everyone around a firepit; they even supplied the s'mores makings. The room was very comfortable, complete with vintage styled appliances. The breakfast was well supplied with varied options for most tastes and preferences. I was surprised and pleased at the efforts to reduce waste through the use of biodegradable supplies. A nice surprise they had was for self-help trail mix bags on the way out; a great hit with the kids, and adults alike.

We loved the Bar Harbor Motel! The retro look was adorable, although the appliances and such were new and sparkling. The beds were very comfortable, the breakfast was perfect, and the texts from staff were helpful and sweet. Even better, you can just walk to the end of the cottages and directly into Acadia National Park. We also liked that the motel was not in the middle of town but close enough to walk to (for those who like walking).

Excellent value in a retro motel very close to Bar Harbor. Limited places for children to play during the off season, but the studio layout worked well for a family of six. Good personal touches with smores at night, family movies and many personal touches. Breakfast exceeded it's "continental" title, and rivaled any normal business-class hotel breakfast.

They are prepared for everything. Things you might need or have left at home can be found at the front desk, movie days s’mores and so much more. Walking trails start right at the property line and close to town without being in town. Staff was nice and accommodating and Always there to help.
