Acadia Bay Inn is a peaceful oasis away from the crowds of Bar Harbor and many top attractions of Mount Desert Island. The Inn is warm, inviting, spacious and impeccably clean. Host Nicole and Matt are friendly, gracious, and very helpful in providing suggestions on activities and restaurants. Nicole creates delicious, beautiful breakfasts and afternoon snacks and Matt is a thoughtful server. We stayed in Jasmine and it was wonderful! More spacious than the online photos capture, we had lots of room, incredible views, and very comfy furniture both inside and on our private deck. The only mistake you can make is not booking enough nights. There is so much to do and see on both MDI and the Schoodic Peninsula, be sure to leave yourself enough down time to truly enjoy this wonderful inn.

Beautiful Inn and location. View was awesome. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Make sure to visit tidal falls at high and low tide, very close to the inn. Host did give us some suggestions to visit that were beautiful.

This Inn is a gem! Originally built in the 1880's as a summer cottage for a gilded age wealthy family, this delightful, lovely property is fully modernized and recently renovated with the greatest of care and attention to detail. Spacious individual rooms are replete with charming decorations and designed to enhance maximum comfort, and the spacious downstairs great room is furnished to reflect the period of the original home, complete with cozy spaces and a beautiful stone fireplace. But possibly its greatest attraction is the spectacular view of the bay and of Cadillac Mountain beyond. It is truly breathtaking! And the magic that pieces all of this together are the hosts, Nicole and Matt, who welcome you more like family than guests, and extend themselves to ensure your visit is both memorable and rewarding. And the breakfasts Nicole serves each morning? Good luck finding something this good in a Michelin starred restaurant! It's truly that special. Don't hesitate to book your stay at the Acadia Bay Inn. You'll be very happy you did!

This was our first bed and breakfast. This was a great experience. It is about 40 minutes from Bar Harbor. But it was nice to get away from the tourist trap and sit on the porch looking at the bay. I wouldn’t be surprised if we made another trip here.

Our recent visit to the Acadia Bay Inn on our annual Anniversary trip was an awesome experience! Matt and Nicole were such great hosts! The breakfasts were 5 star! I can’t say enough about how relaxing and enjoyable our stay was, we even had wonderful weather! Driving up to the Inn and seeing my name on the welcome sign was such a nice touch! It is close enough to drive to Acadia Park, Bar Harbor, and Cadillac Summit, but was always wonderful to come back to out quiet, beautiful room! Thank you all so much!

Lovely B & B. Nicole & Matt are wonderful. Perfect for quiet peaceful weekend getaway. House is over 200 years old so the floors are little wonky angled. About a 20-30 minute drive either way to Acadia Nat’l Park. A few local restaurants within 10 min drive. You should notify them of any food allergies ahead of time as breakfast is just one option- what Nicole cooks 😊. Its lovely but if you are not an egg or gluten person you’d have issues. Cocktails wine and beer available for purchase. Matt is the bartender and he loves serving Fench Press coffee.
