We had a wonderful stay here! The location right next to the river was beautiful and made for a scenic, relaxing experience. Our room was very clean, with comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and a spotless bathroom. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. While exploring New England with only a general idea of the areas we wanted to visit, our travels brought us to the Bangor area, where we stayed just outside the city in Old Town. We often prefer locally owned properties over chain hotels, and the Milford Motel did not disappoint. Our room was spacious, clean, and included a kitchenette, making it a great option for travelers planning an extended stay in the area. We were on the second floor and enjoyed pleasant views of the river. The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. The décor is somewhat dated, but everything was well maintained and comfortable. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would gladly stay here again when visiting the area.

The owners of the property were so friendly and personable! I arrived late. 11pm or later. Check in was a breeze. Had a nice conversation with the couple who own the property. Turns out we’re originally both from the same area. The room was so cute. Rustic charm with a nice flat screen tv. I loved the duck toilet paper dispenser. I will definitely be back. If you are in the Bangor area I highly recommend taking the 20 min drive to this place. Great place to spend the night!

Great little motel and excellent value

I have stayed here several times now and each time it has been excellent. The two bedroom suite we stayed in this trip looked fairly recently renovated and was equip with stainless steel appliances. NOT a fancy chain hotel but a ver clean and well kept Mom and Pop motel with lots of personal touches.

The Milford Inn on the River was such a delightful surprise. Our room was spacious, complete with a kitchen and a small balcony, which made it feel extra special. The beds were incredibly soft and comfortable, and I had one of the best night’s rests of my trip. Truly a hidden gem!
