I had a pleasant stay at The Westin Desaru Coast Resort. Overall, the experience was good. The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful, which was definitely a plus point. The breakfast and dinner also offered a good variety of choices, and the food was generally enjoyable. The only area that I feel could be improved is the cleanliness of the public restroom, especially the restroom on the second floor. I noticed some unpleasant odour, which was slightly below my expectation for a five-star hotel. Other than that, everything else was good and I enjoyed my stay.

Had a great stay at The Westin Desaru Coast Resort. The environment is very relaxing, with direct access to a private beach and a clean, beautiful infinity pool. Breakfast was satisfying, and the room was well-equipped and exactly as shown in the photos. Special thanks to the staff and security team for their kindness and prompt help when we misplaced our phone—they were very supportive throughout. Overall, a pleasant stay with friendly service. Sprawling property, well maintained. Some renovations were underway while we were there but not too much of a hindrance. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast buffet spread had a good range and also catered for dietary restrictions like gluten free etc. Food and service across the restaurants was generally pretty decent. Areas for improvement are probably in entertainment for kids. Kids club and the coral lounge had limited activities.

The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are also huge and lovely to use. The staff are impeccable in their welcome and service quality. The restaurants provide superb food at all meals. The only trouble is that the total seating of the restaurants is far short of the number of guests, leading to long queues at breakfast and the need to book tables well in advance to ensure you get a spot. At breakfast, they eventually opened up Prego retaurant and the function room to cater for the breakfast crowd.
