Et sted med sjel i omgivelser som tar deg tilbake i tid. Må tåle at det er lytt på rommet på grunnlag av dette. Nymalt som det var så mangler det noe å henge håndklær på og det bør være sjampo eller tilsvarende på badet. Frokosten var helt ok for å kommer i gang med dagen. Førsteinntrykket når man kjører inn porten setter en demper på det historiske fine stedet(se bilde)

Dette hotellet kan på ingen måte anbefales! Stedet bærer preg av slitasje og dårlig renhold med flekker, støv og døde insekter overalt. Rommet hadde innestengt og fuktig luft, ingen ventilasjon annet enn små vinduer. Helt umulig å tørke badetøy på badet. På badet manglet dusjforheng og toalettet sildret hele tiden. Manglet håndklær. TV på rommet var i ustand. Elendige gamle madrasser med ekkel lukt. Frokosten var stusselig med juice og lunken kaffe som smakte utvannet. Betjeningen ved frokost var like sur som betjeningen i resepsjonen. På kveldstid opplevde vi at enkelte gjester ble skjenket overstadig beruset noe som medførte mye bråk og spetakkel på hotellområdet. Rommet var svært lytt slik at det var ikke mulig å få fred.

Rommet lå i en bygning som lukter stramt av gammel røyk, dette var noe fremtredende på rommet. Nedslitt rom med skitne og ødelagte møbler, ubehagelige senger, sprukken vask, ødelagte deler på vinduene, ingen avtrekk bad. Et garderobeskap i gangen var skjevt og hadde tydelige skrammer etter at døren var blitt tatt av/revet av?? Falmede gardiner. Rommet bar preg av ikke bare manglende økonomi til å pusse opp, men også manglende vilje til å gjøre det beste ut av det. Å vaske skikkelig og skru et skap rett koster ikke millioner. Og er man innstilt på (og har betalt riktig sum) så holder man ut en natt slik. Men når man booker et rom på et det som fremstilles som et ærverdig gammelt badehotell, og får vandrerhjem-standard, da blir det helt feil. Da kan ikke nydelige omgivelser redde oppholdet...

Stedet ligger flott til, med kort vei til bading. Bærer preg av at det trenger en liten oppshining, men stedet er i hovedsak et koselig sted å være.

Et ganske shabby sted, i flotte omgivelser. Komforten manglet, og oppussing og vedlikehold så ut til å være mangelvare. Sola skinte, og vi kunne nyte et flott friluftsområde i gåavstand.

Vi hadde fin weekend der Langesund bad var base for lange gåturer, besøk på lokal restaurant og konsert/bar. Idyllisk beliggenhet og interessant historie har dette hotellet, og bygningene som hører til bra tatt vare på. Vi fikk et rom i den eldste hotellbygningen med en veldig god seng og hadde god frokost begge dager av oppholdet.
