Like the other Welcome Hotel in Bamberg the buffet breakfast is understanding with a great range of German breads and rolls. cheese, cold meats, hot bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs, cereals including Birckenmüsli etc etc. The breakfast room faces directly onto the river Regnitz which is very picturesque. The staff are really friendly and helpful both with me and my teen children! It’s only a short walk to the centre of town, or along the river to the Old Town and Cathedral. The rooms were comfy and amazing value *****

An ok stay at the Kongresshotel. We booked for 2 adults and 1 child but the extra bed hadn’t been installed and the double bed was two separate beds (this is apparently normal for this hotel). They quickly installed the third bed after being made aware and everything was ok.

This was my second stay at the Welcome Kongresshotel Bamberg. Overall, it was a fantastic stay as always. For travelers with a car or rental car, having a parking garage directly under the hotel is a huge benefit since parking can be hard to find in Bamberg. The hotel overall is modern and well furnished, has friendly and helpful staff, a great free breakfast buffet, and a bar/restaurant in the hotel for folks who are short on time to eat out in town. The hotel is walkable (20 minutes for most) to the Altstadt (old city) as well as the Innenstadt (city center) which is convenient for tourists. My room this time had a shower stall rather than bathtub which is convenient for travelers who may not be able to climb into/out of a tub due to mobility issues. The only downside for me was not being able to view local TV (Bayern 1 / 2 / 3) channels in the TV. Highly recommend this hotel!

Wir waren zu Zweit, Fahrradurlaub. Wir könnten unsere Räder direkt am Eingang abstellen, die Räder waren unter Dach und man konnte diese auch gut absperren und fixieren. Auch für E Bikes gibt es einige Ladesäulen. Wir hatten ein gutes und sicheres Gefühl, wie unsere Fahrräder über Nacht geparkt waren. Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage, der Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut. Mehr kann ich nicht beurteilen, weil der Aufenthalt zu kurz war. Ich würde es aber wieder buchen.
