This was a nice, relaxing and quiet stay for us on our road trip around the coastline of Ireland. The location in the countryside was nice and peaceful, but also close to town. We enjoyed the cozy fire room for a family game night while there. We’d highly recommend this place!

Wonderful Oasis

The Water Country House was the perfect retreat. We were only there for one night, but the hosts and lodgings were wonderful. The hotel is exquisitely sited into the hillside, taking full advantage of the views and the natural surroundings. We have already recommended it to friends traveling to the area next year. We hope to return in the future, next time for a longer visit.

Charming!

The Waters Country House is lovely! Clean, comfortable rooms, cozy public spaces, and beautifully decorated throughout the building. We especially enjoyed sitting by the fire in the library on a rainy evening. The owners and staff were so kind. We appreciated their welcoming hospitality. And the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had anywhere. Perfect!

It is a little off of the beaten path, but that was exactly what we were looking for. Wilhelm, one of the owners, personally greeted us and gave us a tour of the grounds and showed us to our rooms. He also welcomed us to breakfast, took our orders and delivered our food. He is very proud of his establishment! It is close to several tourist attractions (Poulnabrone Dolmen, Ailwee Caves and Newtown Castle).

(New) Old-World Charm!

If you are looking for old-world charm, this is the place! You cannot beat the charm, or the lovely couple who own the property. There is even a fresh spring fountain that the property was built around. The most delicious and pure spring water ever! The property is beyond gorgeous, as are the views! We would definitely stay here again!
