The twin room was too small for 2 beds no table or chairs to have coffee at. Drawers could only open a few inches. Bathroom and shower were good. Dinner in evening was awkward as we refused first table as it was in hallway. Manager was not happy and said we would have to sit in middle aisle. That suited us. Dinner disappointing and poor wine selection. No atmosphere in dining room. Staff were pleasant, especially cleaners who helped with our cases on arrival. Overall the hotel was dated and sorry but i wont be recommending a stay.

Overnighter

Clean, service was excellent, staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. Food was nice and similarly priced to other restaurants. Got a nice pint of Guinness. Room had everything that was expected inc iron and ironing board, trouser press. I don't recall a hairdryer but would be surprised if there wasn't one.

Only stayed one night as I was at a function. Didn't use the hotel much but what I saw of facilities, Rooms and staff. I can't fault them

Staff were 12/10! Particularly at the bar( young chap), and lady on front desk. Food 12/10 Steam iron great, needs better wifi, more sockets in room and gym

Stay was OK, however Breakfast starts at 7AM! Due to some early appointments we joined breakfast at 7.10AM, unfortunately the breakfast wasn't ready until almost 7.30AM. without any excuses staff started slowly and late!

Visiting from Canada

The hotel was convenient for my purposes of visiting my brother who lives nearby I found the room cool and there was no register to increase the room heat. I did not call the front desk as one can usually adjust the room heat in the room. I’m not used to ordering my meals UK style ie main course then sides separate so my meal was very large. Room was comfortable, the mattress was a spring mattress and I could feel the springs. The accommodation served my short stay ok

Hotel is very basic. No lounge area to watch the football or news etc. Described as a spa but has no pool or gym, just beauty treatments. Apparently they do weddings but I would be very dissapointed if I was getting married here, nothing special about it. Room was tidy and pleasant but carpet needed a good hoover or maybe the hotel require a new hoover as the floor covered in bits and hairs. Bathroom door had had something sprayed or squirted down it, hopefully just shampoo or cleaning product. On the plus side, staff were very friendly and the outdoor setting was nice.

Room and building was clean, well decorated and of a reasonable size. Room temperature was good as warm but could open windows. Position was almost as far as possible from the reception and had views of a wall which was a little disappointing. Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Gluten free was catered for excellently at dinner with a dedicated menu and lots of choice, excellent. Breakfast in comparison was disappointing as was served in a canteen formation, could have asked for GF options but chose not too, had a dedicated toaster to stop cross contamination. Check in and out was easy and fast. Bathroom toiletries were pleasant, shower was large and refreshingly powerful. Tea and coffee facilities were adequate. Bed was comfortable and slept well. Parking was to the front and expansive. TV screen was adequate and the remote control was well used and only worked intermittently. Finally towels were very small, UK size 14 and it didn't come close to fitting around me, added to this i think that a soft, large fluffy towel after a shower adds a level of luxury to any stay away. Bed was very comfortable.

Would return and recommend!

We had a lovely stay! All of the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough. Great vodka martini from the friendly barman (thanks.), and nice meal with generous portions. We had a superior suite which was so spacious. The coffee machine wasn't working - needed descaling - but after they came to have a look at it they brought us a pot of lovely coffee in our room which was much appreciated. My only suggestion would maybe be to update the mattress, it was a bit bouncy for me and my slightly knackered back but fine for one night. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

The only problem l found was that the bathroom fans were noisy and took a while to go off. I could hear next doors and it kept me from falling asleep. Otherwise l was pleased. Breakfast could have been warmer but the mushrooms were fabulous. I would recommend the hotel with the provisos l have mentioned. Service was very good and made us feel valued.
